Favorite beer when eating BBQ?
What are some of the beers people on here like to drink when smoking? I usually like an ale such as a redhook ESB or a Sam Adams Lager.

Dos Equis lager or Moosehead. Of course sipping on good tequila is always an option!

Boulevard wheat or maybe a Leinenkugals (sp) during the summer months.
During the cooler upcoming smokes, I'm thinking Sam Adams winter lager or Michelob's Amber Bach will likely be the beers of choice. |

Homebrew. I currently have an Orange Cherry Hefe and and an Imperial Oatmeal Chocolate Stout on tap.
Commercially my top three beers in order are Southern Tier's Pumking (pumpkin pie in a bottle, crust, whip cream and all) Russian River's Pliny the Elder (insanely good Imperial IPA) St Bernardus ABT 12 (Quadrupel) |

Orange cherry hefe sounds nice. I am a big fan of hefeweizen's and wheat beers in general. I have been on a serious Blue Moon kick lately, I grilled for some friends over the weekend and put down a good quantity...

I did brew a Pliny the Elder clone this weekend. If you drink Bud, Miller or Coors, you'd probably hate the stuff, but if you're a beer geek and like IPAs... this is a AWESOME brew!... and at 9.5% it lasts quite a while ![]() |

Re: Favorite beer when eating BBQ?
Prefer several Miller Lites while cooking, and something with more flavor while eating. Or, more likely, wine with dinner.
