Hello from the Netherlands!
Hello everyone. Let me introduce myself. I'm Remco, a man, age 43, I'm married for about 20 years (together for over 25 years), and I have one daughter age 13.
I'm wild about cooking, smoking and barbecuing in particular. Two week ago I started documenting my cooking adventures in words and pictures on my blog http://bar-b-coa.tk/. I own a modest 16” smoker and I already made some remarkable things on this little monster. But I'm just finding out the true potential of this apparatus. So I'm graving for more information and techniques. Barbecuing isn't really embedded in the Dutch culture. And amongst the most 'true' barbecuers there is this snobbish attitude. They treat it like it's a form of 'haute cuisine' and a science while I think that the true barbecue cuisine is in the way they did it in the old days. Simple and less is more. So that is what I'm looking for. And I just want to show off a little what I have learned so far ![]()
